You are invited to our new and improved rooftop garden
Holywell Trust has relaunched its roof garden with a new and improved space for the public to enjoy.
The green space is a little haven in the city centre, with plants chosen for their sensory qualities as well as edible varieties that can be brought home.
The revamped space has brand new planters that frame some great views of the River Foyle and the surrounding cityscape as well as seating areas for people to meet or just take some time out. It also has accessibility in mind for all, with raised flower beds suitable for wheelchair users and lift access to the top floor.
Kevin Burns, Assistant Programme Worker at Holywell Trust has been working on the project.
“The rooftop garden has been a special part of the facilities here at Holywell for many years, so it has been important to give it a refresh,” he said.
“We would welcome anyone interested in urban gardening or who wants to enjoy the green space to come and check out the garden and have a conversation with us.”
